New Chaos Space Marine list testing tonight

New chaos space marine list I will be messing around with tonight. Not all that competitive, but will see how 5th makes it. Might just die quickly in the first turn, but who the hell knows right.

HQ: Daemon Prince, Mark of Slaanesh, Wings, Lash of Submission
Pts: 155 X 2 = 310

Troops: Plague Marines (9), Plasma Gun (2), Plague Champion, Power Fist, Plasma Pistol, Rhino, Extra Armor
Pts: 342
Troops: Bezerkers (9), Plasma Pistol (2), Skull Champion, Power Fist
Pts: 259
Troops: Noise Marines (9), Sonic Blaster (8), Blast Master, Noise Champion, Power Weapon, Doom Siren
Pts: 342
Troops: Thousand Sons (8), Aspiring Sorceror, Doombolt, Rhino, Extra Armor
Pts: 304

Heavy: Land Raider, Demonic Possession
Pts: 240 x 2 = 480

Land Raider carries bezerkers and noise marines. It is just an army that uses lots of tanks and might be ok. I doubt it, but I will test it tonight. At least it is a true Undivided Chaos list. Will see and watch it crash and burn. Some games it just moves up and mauls, but a lot of games, with this style, it just sits there and eats it. Oh well, will see how it rolls. Or how I roll hah.

Hope to get some pics of the entire army tonight too. Will see.

Double lash? Unfortunate!

But I do look forward to those pics ;)

I assault with it, and without Oblits, it isn't nearly as abusive. Will see, again it is a test. I need to convert a cool Undivided Chaos lord with a huge Daemon weapon, then I will throw him in instead of one of the Daemon Princes. Running with Berzerkers at int 5 and str 5 is gonna be loads of fun hahah.

I didn't get a chance to play last night, with my ankle being messed up and getting to the store late, it hampered my ability to throw down a game, let alone take some pics. This ankle is pissing the shit out of me hahaha.

Hoping to get Big Red to take a pic of the army when he gets back. Hrm, maybe I need to convert up that Chaos lord out of some Bezerker legs and other fun bits. I am sure I can get a crazy Daemon weapon on there.

There are no abusive lists in 40k. Only abusive players.

Zerkers are horrible. I don't know why you are bothering with the Rhinos. Drop all of them and the Zerkers, get another raider. It still won't be as good as a Dark Angel mech list (or pretty much anyone else's mech list) but at least it'll be mildly dangerous.
Daemonic possession isn't what it's cracked up to be with the -1 to BS nerf.

TWL helps out, and I have found zerkers are great versus orks and other horde armies that have In 4 or less. They end up dealing a ton of damage and can easily take out large 30 man ork hordes, with their combined int 5 and str 5.

But the big point of this list, is chaos undivided, so if i didn't throw in zerkers, it wouldn't be a true undivided list. Personally, I would run a Land Raider at all, noise marines and thousand sons with oblits and a stand and shoot style of offense. But I want to run Rhinos and this is more of a fun list no matter what. If I played versus someone, for fun and they threw down 3 falcons, 6 + big shootie bugs, or some other shenanigans, I wouldn't play them. Again this is just a fun list.

With 5th edition, chosen will be better with their outflank ability, as well as oblits. A stand and shoot chaos list is just a stronger list. But really, Chaos is not in the same tier as Orks, Eldar and Nids. They can win games, because hell the game is based off of dice rolls, but still, the consistency of the other lists just make them a more fun army to play.

Still doing the planning stages and testing for Las Vegas. I can go hard, or just play for fun. Either way has its advantages.

Right now, heavy lists available of my own models, are Big Bugs and Orks. I have Chaos too, and Daemons (no no no). I can always borrow some Tau or just create an army real fast, but who knows.

What kind of testing have you shown with 5th edition? I will be posting my tests as I play test them. Stupid fucking ankle being broke hampers a lot of it, and it looks like i won't get consistent testing until later in July.

I put a chaos army creation template up on dakka a few months ago, it's in the articles section.

I've found if you base your army around a solid core you can still do very well with a chaos list. For example, I can obliterate big bugs very easily with my list.

I think your Ork Nobs will scare people at first, but if they deploy properly you'll get off single charges against one or two units...kill them, and get shot at repeatedly. So it's hard to say.
