Blah blah - what another post in like a week?

What's happenin hahah.  So far so good this week.  It is the end of they year - stuff is getting slower at work and life is moving on alright.  Have to get the wife a birthday gift and a funny xmas gift.  Our gift to ourselves was Halo and 2 Year Xbox live haha.  It gets hard getting gifts when you have a one income household and I am the type that is like - we get what we want/need when it comes up etc.  As a kid we just got cash from family so I never got into the cool gift giving thing etc.  Oh wells.

I won't lie - I like those new Chaos Horse guys.  Don't like the cost though.  I guess I could use some store credit from doing Frontline stuff.  I got my Horus Heresy box set as well as a Blood Thirster.  Those things are just sitting there - asking me to build them and paint.  Jerks.

Damn the ITC and making the Big Mek Stompa available.  I wrote about it on BOLS but man it has me thinking.  I think going all SAG isn't worth it that much - but maybe going 5 - Lootas inside to ensure I can move 6 inches and shoot etc.  Meh!!!

The thought is to utilize 2 30 man boyz squads to keep guys from getting to me.  I don't know if it is worth it that way or not.  It is just an idea.  I do like seeing a bunch of shokk attack guns shooting out of the Big Mek Stompa.  It would be hilarious to see the damage I could cause with a ton of random stuff just throwing out of there.  I need to really think of the list more to see if I can work it out.

The Idea is that inside the Mek I have
Tank Bustas X 5 with Attach Mekboy - Gives me one Fix it roll at 5+
Buzzgob Fix it roll at 5+
4 SAG Big Meks, with Attached Big Mek in Mega Armor - gives me the one 3+ from Mega Armor plus 3 5+ or 4 SAG shots.  If I don't move I can have them all separated and shooting at different targets.
Warboss goes with the 30 Boyz - gives some threats to things getting near and a reroll 2+ armor save if needed.
The 3 Deff Koptas are for Maelstrom.
Gretchin just get in the way like I need them too.

It might work - I took the last week off in December so the temptation to finish an Ork army during that time is great.  I just either need to figure out a cool SAG conversion or just buy the plastic one with my Frontline Writing credit.  Temptations.

I almost went and played a random assigned team event this weekend.  1000 pts per side - but my Dad came into town so that nixed it.  I built and painted some models instead.  And watched some TV Shows.  Ash Vs. the Evil Dead is great by the way.  Gonna hit up Jessica Jones later on during the winter show break.  Probably Aziz's show too.  Just watching dem Netflix.

Ok enough of that - stuff to look at.

Goatboy's Sunday Thoughts

Man babies suck up your time.  As does the fiscal end of month.  Woohoo.  But I am surviving and striving and driving and... painting still?  Woohoo!

I think I have to veto doing an Ork army for LVO.  I just don't have the time to get a new one ready to go.  This means I have to go Chaos of some sort.  Lists coming in a bit after I write up some paint list/thought stuff etc.  But it makes me sad about the Orks.  I still have ideas on how to get it to work - just not finding the time to get it done and practiced with.  Poops!

I did get a game in with Nick - played a meh Chaos Space Marine list as I still had all the pieces pulled out.  It was

1850 pts of pure nonsense.  I have 4 Obj Secured troops which isn't bad.  I have armor 13 vehicles that are a pain and fast plus 3 Flying Dildo princes.  It looks like it could work - and I just need to paint up 3 sets of Nurglings and maybe another Grinder.  I will probably do another Gun prince as they will match the other ones.  So simple - basic and I think actually fun to play.  I go big and get involved haha.

The other one has more tricks involved.  In the form of dropping the ally and getting in a CSM - summoning function.

This one just needs to get one box of Nurglings and I have everything else done already.  It has the summoning suite needed on the MoN price plus he won't die to some random Strength 10 shot if he gets it in the end.  The Dragon is still good and I feel having 3 could still be pretty scary for a lot of armies to face.  Look at something like this and get sad at the FW cost.

I mean - this looks dumb as heck but it shoots a lot.  Plus those dragons are going to suck for anyone. I went with Be'lakor because it gives you shrouding automatically.  This is a help versus a lot of armies and keeps your Sicarians tough to remove.  If not Bel - I guess you could go into just Sorcerers but I think the Possessed one is just going to be summoning stuff.  It probably won't work but man - bullets will be coming at you from all over the place.  The CSM sorcerer is built this way so I could get 3 Sicarians.

You have the big ole tide sitting in front then you have the Deff Squad running around causing issues.  You want to roll strategic and if you get lucky you can put all kinds of in the middle of the board and just be a huge threat.  Plus that bike squad is pretty dang scary to look at.  But again - 3 sources so sad panda pants.  Plus that is a lot of gretchin haha.

Goatboy's Tuesday - I am surviving!

When I don't get much sleep - I end up doing some kind of "mindless" work.  Painting falls into that while art doesn't really fall into that.  It is life - but I have gotten painting stuff done so that is good.  In fact I bet I finish off a commission by this weekend, get another one partway done and probably end up starting on another rush order too.  I just can't stop being busy.

Oh yeah - wife had the baby last week too on Tuesday.  In fact he will be a full week today at 6:09pm central.  Woohoo - he is doing well, gaining weight and giving me lots of pops in return for the sleepless nights.  Fair trade right?  I hope to get a game in next week when I have a buddy come over.  Maybe will try to bat rep it so I can show how bad I play.  Maybe.
