An update before Iron Halo

I got a few lists for the upcoming Iron Halo GT.  Its up in Oklahoma and will be a good 8 hr drive.  Going up with my buddy Brandon and meeting another buddy from Houston up there.  Should be fun - full ITC and lots of other Austin buds are there too.  Will see how well I do.

Currently throwing around 3 lists - first two are painted - just tweaking bases etc if I want to fit on my display board.

List #1 - Flying Circus 2.0

This is the tried and true Flying circus I have always liked to play.  I got the Masque to mess with Deathstars, Fateweaver to get me a reroll/Lvl 4 caster, and every DP is set up to kick butt.  Still it is small, you can't make mistakes, and the game starts to get hard as soon as you roll your warlord trait. This is the list I am leaning towards as I can make a cool mini display board and as the army is small enough I can use it for around the country.  Don't think it is a big time winner list - but it should do well with paint scores and I am a nice dude.

This is the basic KDK star you will start to see around.  I have 2 Stars with the screamer - but that one is more of an objective grabber/Warp Spider Slasher.  The Chaos Lord is in there as he can get a 3+ with the Sigil and can randomly take challenges for me.  I get an Endurance on him and 4 wounds is hard to get through.  Once the new CSM powers are live this list is going to be rough for a lot of other Stars.  This list is not as hard to play as the Circus and has some redundancy built in.  It is on my list of things to play and again - I just need to tweak some bases to get it ready.

This army can create a few little murder stars, has Kharn in it, and even a Juggernaut lord.  An Axe of Blind Fury with Hammer Hand is pretty dang fun as he gets involved cutting jerks heads off.  I see this list rolling 2 on Biomancy, then Sanctic and finally some Telepathy if they can get some shrouding etc.

I still love the idea of this list - but there is no way I can win 6 games with it - let alone 3.  Still it would be fun to go stomping around with it.

Alright - this is a quick what I am working on post.  I have a ton of models to knock out and I am almost done with a few commissions.  The end is drawing near so yay!  Let's get the paint/work list I have to do then the models.

This week has me doing a ton of job interviews for 2 different promotions I am going for.  So far I am still in the hunt with interviews planned as I move up the interview gauntlet.  I bought 2 suits to make myself look a bit better for interviews.  Bad on the wallet but I figured it is about time I got some in my long 38 years of being a nerd boy.  I feel confident so will see.

Beyond that - I got my list mostly locked for ATC.  I don't expect to change it and the last evil knight was done so it is fully finished right now.  It should be fun and I hope to get a game in this weekend against a buddy that has been wanting to throw down.

Its a basic Murder horde plus 2 very shooty knights to round it out.  I think Karnak will give me some play vs some stars as they try to cast spells as well as 48 bullets getting thrown out from the Knights - will see.

I can't help but wonder if there is a Space Wolf Dreadnought army out there with some shield guys, Iron priests to fix em up.  Its a thought haha.
