Feeling a bit Better
But still not 100% awesome. But that is life in the allergy capital of Texas. Woohoo love that Cedar. So this post is just a quick update of what I'm thinking of doing this week. I would be doing more but currently waiting on projects to get built, have the paint fall off, or just get my brain in the right mindset. So will see if more gets added on my - what the hell I finished this week post on Friday at my painting site. Woohoo!
Word Bearers - one more unit to get finished. Currently on the block
Rhino/Razorback - its a rhino in the list - but I made both cuz that is how I am - Picture below as it was done Today!
7 Man Grey Hunters - Built and Primed
1 Wolf Guard/Combi-Plasma Guy - Built and Primed
And that finishes that army - I plan on playing it this year and then hopefully selling it.
Luis P - Necromunda stuff
11 Redemptionists or something - Built and Primed
Big Red
1 Warmachine Chick thingie - Built and Primed
Adriano
Reaver Titan Legs - get them finished and other pieces. The screw is holding the legs in place so it is onto me to finish the basing and painting. Should be awesome!
John H
2 Rhinos and Predator - Sitting in the Simple Green to take off really bad paint job - almost ready to go
And that is about it. I don't know what else beyond some art stuff I plan on doing. I should be getting my Storm Ravens the next week so look for goat like ones of those. I will probably get a Dreadnought also to complete my desire to have a robot army of doom. ROBOTS!!! RARGH!!!
Will post some lists for some counts as armies I got brewing in my head. I have been doing some hazard lines on my Word Bearers so it is making me want to do a Iron Warriors build that has lots and lots of robots. Either it means a Marine build out or Blood Angels build out. The idea of fully robot guys who are the "death" company sounds pretty dang cool. Crazy kill robots :). Mix that with some Assault Cannon dreads and we might get a cool - super firepower idea. No Blood Chalice stuff as it just doesn't fit - so it might be a regular marine army. In fact I bet that will just be a cooler look too as it isn't one of the new "IT" books. Thoughts on that? Will write up some lists as I just think the army with massed dreads will look neat. Still might have to be BA - but will see.
Oh in an upcoming BOLS video I finally win a game. Woohoo - Daemons VS. IG. I took an unoptimized Daemon lists (Look at Brent's Strictly Average for what I feel is the best) and still beat up on an meh IG list from the Crazy Red Prat- prat - funny hat wearing dudes.

Goatboy's 40k - Week Update
Been sick most of this week. Feeling like ass from Allergies, Cold, and probably Mr. Black's voodoo doll. Either way it makes me feel crappy. But someone it is good for productivity because if I can do something that keeps my mind off feeling like ass - I will do it.
So out of the initial list - this is what I have done plus add ons. WOOHOO!!!
Word Bearers - Razorback 3 - TWL Lascannon - DONE!
Word Bearers - 5 Regular smucks for the Scoring, sit back razorback - DONE!
Word Bearers - Attack Horse/Bike - DONE!
Word Bearers - Terminator Guy with Cyclone/Havok Launcher - DONE!
Word Bearers - Wolf Priest Walking Dude Man! - DONE!
Word Bearers - Long Fangs - BUILT SUCKAS!
Necromunda - 8 Goliath Guys - DONE!
Dark Eldar - Venom - Like Crusader Class guys - DONE!
Chaos Predator - Done in a Russian Tank style - DONE!
Chaos Rhino - DONE!
Khador Devastator Jack 1 - DONE!
Khador Devastator Jack 2 - BUILT DAWGS!!!
There might be a few more things added to the list like more Necromunda stuff as I got another batch in. I think the Spanish guy is trying to kill me with Necromunda minis! Either way I will paint the whole damned line damnit!
This Thursday I plan on playing a game versus the Crazy Red Praetorium. I plan on bringing Daemons but might switch to a weird Logan list I will be building on for a previous client. Remember those World Eaters - he wants more and will be doing a Angron/Logan with dual chain axes and other nonsense. Will see if it works out right. It should look neat no matter what :). I think next week I am going to break out my Cryx and play some Warmachine too. I need to finish one model to get them all ready and will have that army on the table top. I will also be painting some more Khador stuff too as usual.
Some of those models I painted below!
What stuff are you guys working on?

Woohoo!!! Gonna post more this week
The plan this week is to paint the following as well as start testing my Word Bearers army. First painting.
Word Bearers - Razorback 3 - TWL Lascannon - as well as rhino options - primed
Word Bearers - 5 Regular smucks for the Scoring, sit back razorback - primed
Word Bearers - Attack Horse/Bike - already done woot!
Necromunda - 8 Goliath Guys - Primed
Dark Eldar - Venom - Like Crusader Class guys - Primed
Chaos Predator - Done in a Russian Tank style - Primed but needs build fixing to finish/magnets
So that is it as I got some other work to do art wise too. Fun times for the Goatboy as new contract work has popped up which means I get to do some art stuff. I am constantly doing different things in order to keep myself busy. I have a regular job doing Fiber Optic Technical Support. It is fun and keeps the bills paid as well as keeps me in Health insurance. Sometimes you need that as the life of a freelancer doesn't really support a Marriage and a mortgage :). And I like free Cable too damnit!
I just put together the local store's Storm Raven. No pics as obviously everyone is getting one. I am grabbing one from the store there as well as one from my good friend Rob Baer at SpikeyBits.com. I try to buy all over especially from people I know. It is why I still get comics because I want to continue to purchase stuff as that is one of the ways to keep our hobby going. The kit went together pretty well and I like the model. I have always like the brick of doom look and think it fits as a Space Marine vehicle. And yes, I do think it will be for every marine chapter out there. It makes no sense as all the story books talk about flying things as well as it is an expensive model and we all know how many marine players there are. Chaching! I think I can fit it into my wolves for sure. Hell it would be awesome to see Bjorn flying around in his super pimp wagon of doom!
Current Word Bearers Initial List - With Tricks that I will start testing with this week. - #7
HQ: Wolf Priest, Bike
HQ: Wolf Priest, Bike, Meltabombs
HQ: Wolf Priest, Combi-Plasma, Saga of the Hunter
HQ: Wolf Guard Battle Leader, Bike, Storm Shield, Powerfist
Elites: WG X 5
WG 1 - Power Armor, Combi-Melta, Powerfist, Bike - 1 - Swift Claws
WG 2 - Power Armor, Combi-Melta, Powerfist - 2 - Razor Lascannon/TWL Plasma
WG 3 - Power Armor, Combi-Plasma, Powerfist - 1 - Rhino Grey Hunters
WG 4 - Terminator Armor, CML - 1 - Long Fangs
Elites: Wolf Scouts X 5, Meltagun
Troops: Grey Hunters X 5, Meltagun, Razorback, Lascannon/TWL Plasmagun
Troops: Grey Hunters X 5, Meltagun, Razorback, Lascannon/TWL Plasmagun
Troops: Grey Hunters X 5, Flamer, Razorback, TWL Lascannon
Troops: Grey Hunters X 7, Plasmagun, Wolf Standard, Rhino
FA: Swiftclaws x 5, Power Weapon, Attack Bike, Multi-Melta
Heavy: Long Fangs x 6, Missile Launchers X 5
So basically a large amount of bodies with some stupid tricks in there. I got the 2+ cover save nonsense I can pull for IG - as well as some annoying Fearless troops that can sit on an objective. I got fists everywhere as needed as well as some Long Range Firepower that I wanted. I wanted to have a sit at home troop and the cheap Razorback fit the bill. It also gives a wall for my Long Fangs to hopefully hide behind as needed.
The bike squad is pretty mean with lots of guys and 7 Reroll to Hit Fist attacks and 12 Reroll to Hit PW attacks. Plus a ton of regular attacks. It isn't Thunder Wolves but it should hurt people. Plus being fearless is pretty neat. So suck it PBS!!!
The other neat thing is I am going to be the special guest on the Geek Nation Tour of Britain. So if you live over in the British Isle's and want to meet, yell, or throw me the finger I should be coming over in September. Look for some articles talking about how excited I am in the coming months as I get prepared for a pretty awesome experience. I plan on bringing the Word Bearers with me so look for some 1500 lists. Goatboy is coming at you Europe - be afraid muahahahah!!
Minis!!! BEHOLD!!!

Woohoo another week of fun
My birthday was last week Thursday. 33 years old. I had a dinner thing on Friday at a Japanese steakhouse. I drank some Saki, ate some food, and then went to another bar later. Had an evil thing called a Red Headed Mexican. It was a Margarita, with some Sangria, and a Sol mini beer in it. Suffice to say I was tipsy and glad my wonderful wife was my driver home. All in all a fun time which means very little "paint" time I would normally have to throw into it. Plus it has been raining all weekend so I didn't have time to spray anything.
I did get to play 5 games this weekend with my Daemons. I bought some new dice that obviously didn't like the Daemon army at all. I played JWolf with Khan Marines. Bad loss there where Jon didn't have to do anything as I was all about killing my army with my dice. I then played Chris and his Dark Eldar I painted. The white army of doom. I lost 8 to 7 kill points. So an odd one as I hit with Bolt of Tzeentch and watched as I rolled a 1 all the time. Then I played some Tyranids from Mike A and won this game. I played 2 more today against the same army and won the first game and was too aggressive the second game and lost. Still good to get games in with the same army as it lets me feel better about playing it. I still hate the Seekers of Slaanesh more and more and dropped them from the last two games. Current list 1.

Heavy: Soul Grinder, Tongue, Phlem
Not sure if Daemon Princes are better at the Heavy. It is something to think about for sure. I think it might be but I really get sad when I have to make 6+ poison saves on my Daemon Princes.
The new Death Wing army seems neat especially with all the crazy 3+ inv saves it can throw down. I do think Horde Marines might be another "metagame" army that will be interesting for Adepticon. Especially how Calgar is now and how much he can just mess up a game. You have to kill the entire army to work and this is something to think about. I have some list ideas so will see. I will post them later.
Current Paint list for the week

Sorry - Took a bit of a mind break
Got some commissions done and out of the way - just have the huge Necromunda/Catachan/Thing and a few bits of CSM. Then it is just my own stuff to do for a bit. Some Tau will be coming in later too. So lots of neat random things coming up. Beyond that I got art to do and other fun stuff so Goatboy will be all good.
Tires are expensive. I knew I was saving cash up for something - and Tires was what it was. Woohoo. But I needed them right. Lord that could be a whole lot of plastic hahah.
Wrote the following DE list to "mentally" and probably physically test. I don't know if it is any good but it helps deal with the Kill Point disadvantage that is inherent to the Dark Eldar game experience. I get 3 games in of 40k with 2 wins and 1 loss. I played Orks, SW, and Daemons. Lots of things to rework on the Daemon army as it might be a good dark horse army for Adepticon and its Kill Point dominating missions. Fixing the MSU/Mass Boxes issue eh?
Anyway Dark Eldar list for thoughts.
HQ: Baron
HQ: Haemonculus X 2, Webway Portal X 2
Elites: Trueborn X 3, Blaster X 3
Elites: Trueborn X 3, Blaster X 3

Troops: Kabalite Warriors X 20, Dark Lance X 2, Sybarite
Troops: Hellions X 10, Heliarch, Agoniser
FA: Beastmasters X 5, Khymarae X 20, Clawed Fiend
So basically I can have the Baron attach to the Warriors with 2 Haemonculus to give them a most likely 3+ cover save followed by a 4+ FNP to help make sure the Haemonculus can move up 6 and drop portals. Everyone else will hopefully run out and be able to fleet or get somewhere to hurt something. The massed Haywire grenades are for vehicles and dreadnoughts. Again this is a thought list and it helps break the whole Killpoint issue. 12 KP is not bad at all :).
Been thinking of other Foot style armies that are designed to give the Middle Finger to massed Razer/Raider/ML/Etc spam. I got some Logan ideas that might work - with massed anti vehicle fire power from fearless troops who have a 4+-3+ cover save due to some nutty options. A lot of the game is getting to the point of trying to invalidate your opponents offensive. Either by ignore certain rules of the game (fearless, stubborn) or by making much of their forces power useless when a 4+ cover save is involved. Hell that should be an article for BOLS at some point haha.
As you saw on Friday I am working on a Word Bearers army for myself and have had a good time build the scheme. I showed some of the "bikers" and will show case other bits of the models as I finish building and designing the army. I am trying to make a one style army so I don't have to "waste" as much time making models that don't fit. Will see if I can still keep that promise hah.
Current Daemons List I will play to test people's armies etc.
