Hallo once again - Back in the saddle

Lots of minis, some artwork, and who the hell knows what else.  Been a busy bit of weeks - looking at getting a new house so a move is most likely coming, got a promotion at work so I get paid more for what I was already doing so yay - thus the new house.  I got a ton of miniature painting to do - but I also need to pack so man it is gonna suck.  Time to get rid of a ton of bits - cough cough - tyranid bits most likely and ton of other junk.  Fun fun fun.

Um - let me see - I want to play the Alamo later in May and trying to think of a list.  Most likely I will play the following as it is easy, I don't need a ton that I don't want to get ready, and again I know how to play this stuff.

Basically summon a unit of Pink Horrors first, have enough to split into blues and brims - fly around and profit.  It should be easy enough so will see.  This will be simple enough to get going.  If not that I paint up a few more Screamers, do the 2-3 knights and just don't give no Effs and use the Tzeentch Warp Storm Table for Profit.

Lets get some painted stuff out to look at and call it a night.

Been very busy - in fact I should probably be working on finishing some work right now.  I have a plethora of minis, art, and writing to do.  It never ends for he Goat.

LVO was fun - the tournament was meh.  I dropped after losing rd 4 to another daemon player.  The bane of my existence - not rolling for crap with maelstrom did me in.  Still was a fun game as the aussie player was a blast.  I had 3 good games before that - with one getting my revenge on Allan from an Adepticon where he knocked me out of the first round of the finals.

Right now 40k is in a bit of a rough spot - if you don't play the good stuff you have a good chance to get run over.  The Psychic phase is too clunky with some of these armies running 20+ wc, casting well and having ways to generate more.  Free stuff is too much and everything doesn't feel very fair.  Ah well - it is life.  Will see what 8th brings to the game.

That is it for now.  I knocked out the big art I had to do this weekend.  I have a new computer coming in which should help me with Photoshop pains.  Quad core monster due to having a decent work bonus/taxes/good year budgeting.  Fun stuff indeed.

This is a bunch of dumb ideas rolled around into 2 big dumb units.  Will it work?  Who the heck knows.  All I know is it will move up, grind you out and hopefully murder things.  You get 2 Hit and Run options - one has shrouded to the unit and the other has a lot of "throw" away wounds as needed.  It should punch pretty rough with tones of AP 2 ini 5+ hits and other options.  Plus it turns off all those pesky powers the other stars like to throw around.  I think it would love to chew on some doggies for sure.  It still won't be good but it is goofy to write about.

Alright some models and calling it a day as I try to finish the acolytes.

Got a fun weekend with some of my buddies to test out lists.  Gonna bring 4 or so to at least try out.  The Draft FAQ has me thinking the Trip Lance super Power up team might be good.  The Ignore LOS/Cover power on a squad of Knights seems pretty spicy.  But here are the BS lists to look at.

This is the Tetrad with some fun to stop other Death Stars and things.  I don't know how good it is - but it feels great - especially since the masque can slow down Storm Surges too.  I think the Dual Knight list is just overall better for ATC stuff and ITC in general.  But hey - always good to have a Tetrad you can test with.

Thought is to roll for Invis and other power up spells.  From there get involved into things and shoot as much as you can.  The Ignore Cover power seems strong as does if you let it do both block LOS as well.  So many of the guns have long ranges so it might work.

Knight with magnetized shoulders - I didn't do the other weapons as I have them from other Knights that can somewhat match.  I wanted to do the guns as a thought from some Conversions I have seen.  Plus it just shoots a lot and has a nice heavy flamer set up.
