What did I paint this week...

Well I finished up Jay's Daemon army for 40k. He might get me to do some more for fantasy, so will see if more horrors get painted up. Bastard horrors heh. I forgot to take a picture of the green stuff I did for a friend wanting his herald of Tzeentch to be throwing a Fireball. His hand/arm is covered in flames as he summons his energy. Other then that, I started putting together a heavy daemon army for Fantasy. Will see when I get it done. I am hoping to have some painted stuff next week. I am waiting for stuff to dry and harden heh. Oh yeah, I am also going to Adepticon this weekend, so the painting post will be sparse to nothing next week. When I get back, look for some articles on speed painting on BOLS and other fun painting thoughts as well as 40k editorials.

Now onto some painting.


This is a commissioned figure. I decided to try and do some more extreme highlighting with this one. I wanted to show that I can paint in other styles then my normal way and to test myself a bit. I still like making my stuff have realistic (as can be) hue sets, but this was a fun way to test out some new skills. Look for more of these as I finish a small squad in the coming weeks.

Woot I painted more stuff this week

First off, the other squad of terminators plus Lysandor, a land speeder, and a chaplain. Woot left to paint in the army.

2 Razorbacks (1 I need to convert from a rhino)

Next I finished up more of Jays daemon army. All I have left now are the 12 flamers and the Changeling conversion I whipped up today.






Hoping this army is done by Thursday, and Jay has a new army to play for the hobby tournament after adepticon. Woot.

This week was crap on painting

Here is hoping this next week is better. I plan on finishing up some horrors and Grinders for Jay plus getting more of my yellow marine army done up. In fact, all I did was paint up some Termies. I found a way to do it that I like and will allow me to create a nice effect, quickly and effectively. So will see if the army gets put together. I just got all the pieces for it, so all is good in the plastic department.

Here is my first bit the termies. Totaly time - 2 hrs, figuring out the way to get it to look right. Hopefully an hour and a half per squad on the next ones. Heh.

More painted stuff

This week was a catch up to finish some stuff for some peeps. Daemonettes, horrors, and other random stuff. yay beer.

Played a fantasy tournament this weekend. Total fantasy games - 15 - 5 at the tournament :). I went 2-3... which isn't bad. I did miss my bolter fire though :(. Not knowing a game system very well makes for confused Goatboy. AROOO!!!

Bubba and Joe Bob - Nurgle dreads of doom. So far, the in the one game 1 killed a LR, the other got some plague marines as well as a vindicator. One lived till the end. Hooray Beer!

Woot, this week was a bit of a wash

I didn't get as much done as I wanted too.  I tried to put together a Nurgle Daemon Prince, but I was missing the stupid sword arm.  GW is sending one away, so hopefully I can finish it for next week.  Will see.  Beyond that, I completed some fantasy stuff and put together some random bits and pieces in preparation for the coming week.  Between animation and some other personal work, the painting might get a bit behind.  Will see.  I did some green stuff work that I thought came out alright, so hooray on that end heh.  I also finished up a model that was starting at me for the last few weeks.  Changing up an army can be one way to not paint a model.  This coming weekend is a Fantasy tournament, so I want to finish one guy up to get the army ready.  And it is a Tzeentch guy haha.   After that is a DP for Jay and probably putting together another defiler etc. I am hoping the Nurgle DP and Dreads might get done, but I feel they won't happen just due to timing issues etc.

Anyway onto the painting.

On my Gawds!!! An update

This blog is going to change, as I write tactics for Bell of Lost Souls. It is going to become a weekly, what the hell I painted over the week. I am planning on updating it every Sunday with all the stuff I painted over the week. I paint a lot. I only play armies that are fully painted, so if I want to keep up with my insane love of testing new armies, I am usually painted up a ton of crap per week. It also keeps my brain sane as I deal with computer stuff as well as finishing up animation work and graphic work. Fun fun fun.

But anyway, enough of that, onto my first stuff. I have 3 things I am showing this week. I painted up a reg loota to replace the one I lost in Baltimore. He isn't very exciting and I just machined through it to finish it up. Either way, I won't show it hehe. Plus it is in a case and I don't want to bring it out. So I painted that, two nurgle sorcerers (one for a competition, one for my army) and a Lord of Change for Jay aka Bushido Red Panda. I listed the time it took for me to add the last bit of painted.
