Sunday - Woohoo!

Thanksgiving week too!  Wife is out of town for a bit - so that means I will probably be painting up a storm for 2 days.  Woohoo!  Plus watching some scary movies as the wife doesn't do well with scary movies.  She isn't scared - it is just that it gives her odd dreams.  So with that in mind - let's see what will I watch as I sling paint around.

Most likely I will watch VHS at least.  I will probably rewatch Cabin in the Woods as well.  Will see.  But with that in mind let's look at what I want to paint and do.

I finished off the Dragon this weekend - I have done 4 so far.  I might also build out my second Forge Fiend/Mauler Fiend if I find all the magnets.  I got Thanksgiving at my mom's house and we are having turkey and some crepes for desert.  I know different but I love me crepes.  Thin pancakes are jawesome.

Look for the initial Heavy Flamer designs for our Adepticon team.  I want to get them done and do some shirt printing nonsense as well.  Will see what I end up doing as this week should be slow but I will be working a lot.  We are going to be down people as some other colleagues got promotions and a firing.  Means my small group is going to be in a world of hurt for a bit.

I am also going to buy a new computer soon so my wife can take my laptop.  She keeps using it and I don't need a portable device as much anymore (phone and Ipad does most of the things I want when I am not at home).  I am thinking a Mac Mini and adding more ram.  It should do all I need it to do and if I get bored I can upgrade to a SSD and watch the fire come off that fucker.

Currently I am just looking at how to get that list I posted on BOLS today to work right.  I might dump the Scarabs for something else - so will see.  Right now this will be painted up - then I start looking at ways to make it more interesting (ie swap shit).

Right now - this is what will be painted first and I want to look at going into Bikes instead of Spawn.  Will see if it works.  Plus I could do a Sorcerer on a bike to utilize Telepathy.  Fun stuff indeed.  This should be painted by next week when I can play it in a Battle Report - or so I hope.

BOOP BOOP BOOP!!! Update before Adepticon

Last night sucked ass at work so no painting for me. Something broke and it made the last part of my day pretty terri-bad. I didn't work on any cartoons or anything else. The only good thing is I built a 10 man Iron Warriors squad to go with the Rhino I did and pictured below. Woohoo.

So right now I need to get a crap ton of rhinos for my future 2 armies. Blargh!!! 2 more for the Iron Warriors and 5 for the Grey Knights army I initially built. I might drop some to make some foot stuff - but for right now I need em! So you can see what I am going for when I hit Adepticon. Look out trade bins - I am on the prowl. Beyond that I plan on buying 2 sets of Autocannon arms for my Psyflemen Dreads (FU YOU KIRBY!!! I like that name now...). Look for lists next week when I get back and start really going into terrible list building. I think I am one of the few ones that just loves tons of powered armored Dick heads on the table top.

The list I am playing at Adepticon should go up on Bols sometime soon so look for more cries of WAAC, asshole, or whatever else people want to say about it. There are not razorbacks, one normal Long Fang squad and one weird one and lots of other things. I kinda wish I could fit in a Wolf Scout squad but 1850 makes me mad. MAD!!! Can't wait till we go back to 2000 points and I can feel safe and sound like a new born kitten clawing someone's eyes out. ARRROOOO!!!

I don't know what I am going to play for the Alamo - I need to pay for it first - but it might be Grey Knights or Iron Warriors. Those two only. I don't feel like throwing anything else down as those are the two armies I want to play. Iron warriors because - it is Dreadnoughts and Dreadnoughts kick ass and Grey Knights cuz I like pretty new things.

Right now these are the things I am going to paint no matter what for the Iron Warriors. Things might change later on but these are for sure!

Those are for sure. I might tweak the army and get more troops or something else. Who the hell knows. I am just crazy at times haha. And no Sang Priest. Don't make sense and they can suck my butt. F EM!!! I might drop Death Company cuz I don't want to do another Death Company dread. So will see.

Grey Knights are looking at me painting lots of regular dudes. I think I need 6 boxes of regular guys and then whatever I can think up for Henchmen. I got some IG stuff laying around too so this should be fun. Crazy chained up Psykers too. I just have to hope that there isn't any Grey Knight Storm Ravens.

So that is it - will show some painted stuff I have done so far and get ready for Adepticon. After I get back look for Orks, More Orks, more Necromunda, some Iron Warriors and the start of my Grey Knights. Woohoo!!!

Sunday before Adepticon

Not really nervous - just excited to get a vacation into 40k fun. You all know what I plan on playing - Grammar Wolves! Woohoo. Full list will be posted on Bols at some point. No razorbacks either so everyone can shut the hell up haha. I also finished up some commission work this week and overall had a crazy paint week. This week will be slow due to just setting things up and getting ready for the road trip from hell hah.

Last week I did the following

16 Hellions - Including the Baron
4 CSM terminators
2 Special Chaos Conversion dudes
1 Dreadnought
1 Rifleman Ostrich Dreadnought
Magnetized the rest of the Grammar Wolves
Drew one Plastic Dudemens.

A good week overall. This week with models already completed.

1 Plastic Dudemens - Maybe - I got an idea.

So far I have some interesting Grey Knights thoughts. Most likely a good core of 30 to 40 scoring troops. The guys are fragile no matter what you think of 3+ armor especially when you mix in that no matter what they are the only threat the army has. That is what I find interesting in all the lists - if all you have is Razorbacks then it is easy for the opponent to choose what to kill. I mean really - there is no bad option to shoot at as the range you have is short and it is easy to figure out the threat. Just shoot what is going to get within 24 and call it a day. Yeah you could assault them but really if you are seeing small weenie squads of 5 in a box then just shoot them. You can easily do 6 or so wounds and that kills 2 of them most of the time. Get that Justicar out of there and they are leadership 8 - welcome to Tank shocking for the win. That is just me. But hell I like to play full 10 man squads.

I am enjoying the Iron Warriors build so far. It is fun and it looks neat. Who knows how good the army will be as it is low on overall troop choices. Yes there are 4 but I only have 20 true scoring units and lots of robots. But F it I love me some robots damnit! Look for one more post on Wednesday before I go and hopefully get another dreadnought or two from the Iron Warriors side.

Another neat thing I drew on my friends Battle Foam bag. I just whipped this up in about 20 or so minutes on the bag. Markers are fun. I plan on bringing some markers when I hit Adepticon so if you want something give me a shout and some booze and I can sketch something out. Unless of course you hate it and me.



And of course some models to look at.

Welp the orks and Arbites got there

Small bits of breakage - but all on glue seams (yay!) - Both were rather large orders, the orks had a ton of metal bits (Ghaz, Snik, 9 Killa Kans, 10 Meganobz, my hatred of metal minis) and the arbites had a ton of vehicles in it. But they both made it there with minimal damage. It is easy to ship 10 guys, but when it gets into the 60+'s it might be worth it to just buy a sabol or battle foam case, box it up and send it on its way. Hehe. but enough of that - here are some of the things I did this end of weekend and beginning of this week. Right now it is in a lull period as I await the coming of the IG orders of doom. Lots and lots of tanks and army dudes are hitting my studio as well as the painters I work with. Fun times indeed! Besides this I painted 3 Chaos Knights I forgot to take a picture of. Also some Deff Koptas will be coming in a day or so. Woot hooray for paint drying fast!





More this weekend and a bunch of other things as I look at the end of the Ork order and see the coming of the steel treads of doom.
